Our Menu:

Monasterboice Inn has a mouth-watering selection of original dishes, from our succulent Steaks and Hamburgers, to our delicious Pasta and Salads. Our menu choice varies slightly from one month to another, but what stays the same is the quality. All the ingredients and materials we use, including meat, are supplied fresh, while our delicious salad dressings are always made by hand on the premises.

We give our customers a fantastic choice of either our full menu with all our mouth-watering dishes or our amazing four courses for €25 menu available 7- Days a week.

Our History:

Monasterboice Inn was originally the home of Thomas Sarsfield who was fatally killed during the Battle of the Boyne.

In the modern Monasterboice Inn we have retained some of the character of the past; like honest Sarsfield, we will sell good liquor and good food, too. In the main Lounge and in the public bar food will be served promptly, and while we do not place at the disposal of the traveller a long and varied list of dishes, we will give quick service and the best food that a bountiful countryside can provide.

In the Sarsfield room the spirit of the age has been retained; here a single voice can sing if the company wants it so, in the friendly atmosphere of an age gone by. In the main Lounge, with its dining alcove, around the old-fashioned fires, and in the comfort of modern central heating, people can gather for a quiet chat, and drink, or be served a quick meal at the counter or at a table.
