Mc Elvaney's Waste & Recycling is a family-run business established back in 1985. The company provides a Waste & Recycling Service to household and commercial customers throughout the county of Monaghan.

For over 20 years, McElvaney’s have provided a door-to-door waste collection to the people of County Monaghan. Nowadays customers are provided with two 240 litre wheel bins Free of charge – one for Waste (green) and one for mixed dry Recyclables (blue).

We provide a weekly bin collection service and operate a fair system of Pay-By-Weight charging for the waste bin while the weight of the recyclable material is free of charge. The benefits of this system are two fold.

We provide 'Pay as you go' or 'E-tag' service, for those customers who either do not want another waste bill coming in, or simply just do not have enough waste or recycling for a weekly collection, can avail of our Pay as you go system. McElvaneys will send a Rep out to your house at a time and date that suits you. Our Rep will provide you with 2 bins, one for waste and one for recyclables. A Bin Collection Calender will be given to show you collection days in your area.

Recycling rates have increased year on year leading to our customers continuing to see the benefit in their half yearly bills.

Mc Elvaney’s currently operate on an alternate week collection basis which means that each household customer receives 26 waste and 26 recycle collections per year.

We also provide skip hire in Monaghan and deliver a wide range of skip sizes to suit your requirements. From a garage clearout to a large building site, McElvaney’s can provide the necessary skip size suitable for the job. It is as easy as ringing for the skip or ordering on-line using the order form below and filling it. We will then collect it and recycle as much as is possible in the Scotch Corner recycling facility

Various sizes of skips are available from the mini 4 yard skip to the large 12 yard, or for much larger jobs we can provide a range of Roll On/Roll Off skips from 20 yard to 60 yard.

Skip Hire

Mc Elvaney's Waste and Recycling provide a 24 hour, seven day a week coverage on Septic Tank and Drain Cleaning. We hold all required Waste Collection Permits and ensure Full Traceability with disposal of all waste at Officially licensed Waste Treatment site.

Liquid Waste

McElvaney's operate  three Recycling Centres, two in Monaghan on behalf of Monaghan County Council and one in Cavan on behalf of Cavan County Council.
